Pinterest.

Okay, last post of the night. I just wanted to share my pinterest page with you. It's similar to this blog but it's showing my inspiration in folders, with out me talking about the images. It's also good as it means you can save inspiring photos but to an internet account rather than my home computer, therefore saving memory on my comp! I have a few favourite folders which I often put images into and a few which I always forget about, but you can look at them all the same.

Savage Beauty.

I'm not overly interested in this type of fashion or whatever, I don't dislike but it's not a particular favourite of mine, but there are a few pieces from Alexander McQueens' collection 'Savage Beauty' that I just love!
The images below are my favourite from the collection. You can see the rest at http://blog.metmuseum.org/alexandermcqueen/objects/.

Charlotte Bibby.

Just found another site to share from my bookmarks folder! This is the photographer Charlotte Bibby's tumblr and in particular I wanted to share with you her archive of inspiration. We clearly have similar photography taste as I think this selection of photos are amazing and there's not a single one I don't like. I just can't stop scrolling down the page, arr! Anyway, take a look yourself.. http://rentapanda.tumblr.com/.

Voodoo Queens

Hola allll :)

So for a while, I've had a folder in my bookmarks called 'Art and Photography' where I save websites or images that I find on the internet to refer back to. But I always end up forgetting to look back at it, so was just having a mooch through and I rediscovered the illustrator Nina Chakrabarti and in particular her collection 'Voodoo Queens'. As I'm sure you are aware, I love black ink doodles, the female figure and photography so I love her work as I takes photos of females and draws on top of the images. This may not interest you at all, but I love it so thought I'd share!

This image above is my favourite of hers. You can see the rest at http://www.ninachakrabarti.com/2009/09/16/voodoo-queens/.

Enjoy! xxx

Hello!

Hello!

So for a while now I've wanted to start an art blog, sharing with you all the things that I love in art, that inspire me and that is going on in my life art-wise. So here it is! I thought now would be a good time to start it as I am well into my art foundation now so am totally surrounded by art all the time constantly giving me things to write about.

I am starting off tonight by telling you that I am a very very happy bunny. For the past month or so I have been working on pieces for my first ever exhibition at Burford Garden Centre and yesterday was the open evening to show my work and already by today (only one day later!) I have sold not one, but two pieces!

Originally I was only planning on selling each piece for around £30/£40, but was told by Nikki (my boyfriends mum) that I need to put the price up waaay more. I was so sure I wouldn't sell anything that way but I am so glad I listened now as I have sold each of them for £125! So I am one happy lady right now!

That's all for now until I find something that I desperately need to share!
Byebye!

First three exhibition pieces
Left: 'Owl You Need Is Love', £125, Sold. Middle: 'Hazel', £100. Right: 'Bird Song', £125, Sold.
Apologies for the quality of the images. They can be seen bigger on https://www.facebook.com/alexmacartwork
